Hi! I am a practicum student completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology under the supervision of Tiffani Van Buckley. I offer low cost counselling to Individuals, Couples and Families and offer counselling in English or Farsi. I value the wisdom of our bodies, the transformative power of support in our journeys, and our innate ability to reframe the way we relate to our past. Before finding my path in counselling, I worked in the domain of immigration, offering consultation to over 600 individuals and couples as they navigated the emotional turmoil of the immigration process. My work was centered around helping them make sense of their strong emotions related to change, assisting them in finding a sense of belonging in their new world, and supporting their smooth transition. In addition to my present training in a Master of Art in Counseling Psychology, I bring a diverse academic background to my practice. I hold an MBA with a focus on human motivation. Furthermore, I have undergone specialized trauma-informed training at Rhodes Wellness College to obtain my Professional Counsellor Diploma, Certified Wellness Counsellor, and Accredited Life Coach certificate.

Hi and welcome! I am completing my practicum in Counselling Psychology and would love to have the opportunity to support you through the next 8 months. I offer a low cost rate and am passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and move toward living fuller, more meaningful lives. I work with individuals 5-99 years, and families. I offer counselling in English and Punjabi. I believe that healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and supported without condition—and I aim to create a space where my clients can safely explore their inner worlds, express their struggles, and grow at their own pace. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. My academic journey has deepened my interest in human behaviour and strengthened my belief that everyone deserves to live a life that feels good on the inside—not just one that looks good on the outside. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or burnout, I meet them where they are with compassion and curiosity. My goal is to help individuals get out of their own heads, reconnect with their values, and take meaningful steps toward becoming the best version of themselves. I bring a unique blend of experience from working in crisis intervention, client service, and community outreach. I’ve supported individuals in distress as a volunteer with the Fraser Health Crisis Line, mentored neurodiverse youth through coaching, and helped clients make emotionally significant decisions during my time as a Senior Advisor at Tesla. These roles have sharpened my ability to hold space, remain grounded under pressure, and communicate with clarity and care. As a cisgender woman of Sikh heritage, I hold a deep appreciation for cultural identity and the importance of intersectionality in mental health. I strive to honor each person’s lived experience, recognizing how societal, cultural, and systemic factors shape well-being. I’m fluent in both English and Punjabi and have experience working with diverse populations, including South Asian communities and youth with disabilities. Outside of my professional life, I find joy in movement and mindfulness—whether that’s through hot yoga, long runs, nature walks, or traveling to new places. I also cherish time spent with my loved ones, including my dog, Scooby, who’s a big part of my support system. I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside others on their healing journeys, and I’m excited to continue growing, both personally and professionally, as a clinician. Areas of Focus: • Anxiety • Depression • Self-esteem & boundaries • Women’s issues • Life transitions • Burnout • Relationship and family dynamics • Divorce & separation • Behavioural concerns • Body image • Self-care • Grief and loss • Crisis Intervention Please reach out via phone or email to schedule a complimentary consultation or full 60 minute appointment.
