Change in fees : January 1, 2026: We, at Counselling On Main, have maintained the lowest suggested rates, as per BCACC, since inception. It has been important to us to provide services that are as accessible as possible while making our livings in the counselling field. The change in rates reflects the years of experience and expertise of our senior RCCs and RSW, while honoring the experience of the RCCs in practice for 1-10 years. We are therefore moving to a tiered fee schedule as of Jan 1, 2026. Those with 10+ years’ experience will be increasing $20-25 across session offerings, whereas the RCCs with 1-10 years’ experience will be increasing by $10-15. This is to reflect the BCACC fee schedule for less/more experienced RCCs. Below is the fee info. Your clinician may discuss this change at an upcoming appointment, and you are welcome to share your concerns and questions with your clinician. Thank you for trusting us with your well-being.

Aimee Chan (she/her), Registered Clinical Counsellor

Relational, affirming, and integrative — valuing the depth and diversity of lived experience.

In our work together, I walk alongside you as a supportive ally in your healing and self-discovery—meeting you where you are with curiosity and care. As a racialized therapist attuned to intersectionality, I hold space for diverse experiences with steadiness and warmth. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in our innate capacity to heal and grow.

I am trained in EMDR, Lifespan Integration, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theory. My approach is body-centered, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and grounded in a polyvagal-informed perspective. These frameworks invite nervous system exploration, helping you notice how stress, trauma, and relationships show up in your body.

I support individuals by creating a welcoming, inclusive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I’m grateful to walk alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges, honoring the uniqueness of each experience. Using experiential and somatic approaches, I help support body regulation, healing from overwhelming experiences, and moving toward secure attachment.

Hi and Welcome!

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I want you to know you don’t have to navigate things alone. I’m a pre-licensed clinical counsellor who works with individuals, couples, and families, and I’m here to support you in making sense of what you’re going through and moving toward a life that feels more aligned, grounded, and meaningful.

I work with teens, adults, men, and couples navigating concerns such as anxiety, relationship challenges, self-esteem, life transitions, burnout, substance use, grief, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you’re feeling stuck in your thoughts, disconnected in your relationships, or unsure of your next steps, my goal is to help you slow things down, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centred therapy. While I draw from these modalities, I believe that the relationship we build together is the most important part of the work. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported, while also being gently challenged to grow.

I support clients in:

• Understanding and managing anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm

• Working through substance use and building healthier coping patterns

• Improving communication and connection in relationships

• Building self-worth, boundaries, and confidence

• Navigating life transitions and uncertainty

• Processing grief, loss, and difficult emotions

• Developing more aligned and intentional ways of living

I bring a grounded and calm presence into sessions, even when things feel heavy or overwhelming. One thing I’ve learned through my work is that people don’t need someone to “fix” them; they need someone who can sit with them, understand them, and help them make sense of what they’re carrying. My role is to walk alongside you while also helping you gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

My background includes crisis support, working with diverse populations, and helping individuals navigate high-pressure and emotionally complex situations. These experiences have shaped my ability to stay present, attuned, and supportive, while also helping clients move toward meaningful change.

As a Punjabi-speaking counsellor, I am passionate about providing culturally responsive care and supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. I offer counselling in both English and Punjabi.

Outside of the therapy room, I value balance, movement, and connection, whether that’s through yoga, long walks, or spending time with loved ones (and my dog, Scooby ).

If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, real, and genuinely invested in your growth, I would love to connect. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start, we can take it one step at a time, together.

Please reach out via phone or email to schedule a complimentary consultation or full 50 minute appointment.

Hello! My name is Jason and I’m excited to be an intern here at Counselling on Main. My main areas of interest are Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (compulsive skin picking, nail biting or hair pulling), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). These conditions often take such a toll on daily life, so I like to emphasize practical management skills and self-compassion. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy, but I love learning about new approaches all the time.

I am currently completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, but my career started with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia. It was while working as an engineer that I started untangling my many years of compulsive skin-picking, anxiety, and shame. It’s a bit unconventional but it helps me relate with others who might not have been exposed to mental health growing up. I was born in Chilliwack BC after my parents immigrated from central China. I am a cisgender man of colour and use he/him pronouns.

Outside of counselling, I enjoy making music, listening to podcasts, and backcountry camping.

Areas of Focus: BFRBs (trichotillomania, hair-pulling; dermatillomania, skin-picking) Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Cultural Identity Career burnout and change Autism Grief Anxiety Depression
