Change in fees : January 1, 2026: We, at Counselling On Main, have maintained the lowest suggested rates, as per BCACC, since inception. It has been important to us to provide services that are as accessible as possible while making our livings in the counselling field. The change in rates reflects the years of experience and expertise of our senior RCCs and RSW, while honoring the experience of the RCCs in practice for 1-10 years. We are therefore moving to a tiered fee schedule as of Jan 1, 2026. Those with 10+ years’ experience will be increasing $20-25 across session offerings, whereas the RCCs with 1-10 years’ experience will be increasing by $10-15. This is to reflect the BCACC fee schedule for less/more experienced RCCs. Below is the fee info. Your clinician may discuss this change at an upcoming appointment, and you are welcome to share your concerns and questions with your clinician. Thank you for trusting us with your well-being.

Aimee Chan (she/her), Registered Clinical Counsellor

I work alongside individuals navigating overwhelming experiences (trauma), mental health, substance use, and stress-related concerns. My relational, person-centered approach is rooted in compassion, and I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to accompany people through life’s challenges, honouring the uniqueness and complexity of each person’s lived experiences. Drawing on years of experience, I aim to foster genuine connection, build trust, and support individuals in advocating for their needs.

My practice integrates experiential and somatic approaches that invite gentle exploration of the nervous system—supporting regulation, healing from trauma, and movement toward secure attachment. At the core of my work is a deep belief in our innate capacity to heal and grow.

I am trained in EMDR, Lifespan Integration (Level 3), and Pathological Demand Avoidance ( PDA Level 1), and I incorporate Internal Family Systems (Level 2) into my work. My approach is body-centered, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, grounded in both polyvagal and attachment theory.

I am honoured to support you in various areas:

Addiction and Substance Use

Anxiety & Depression

Attachment Repair

Cultural Responsivity & Social Justice

Dual Diagnosis

Family and Relationship Conflict

Life Transitions

Self-Esteem

Self Harm

Suicide Ideation

Identity

Trauma
